From the Wall Street Journal:SAN DIEGO PADRES pitcher Trevor Hoffman would have had an earned-run average of 2.84 this season through June 21 according to an analysis meant to remove the effect of luck from the calculation of baseball statistics. A graphic accompanying a Pursuits article Saturday on the role of luck in baseball incorrectly said his ERA would have been .284.
