A slight exaggeration?

From the New York Times:

The Personal Health column in Science Times on Tuesday, about heart risks associated with jogging, overstated the frequency of heart attacks during marathons. While studies have found that marathon runners may be at increased risk of heart attack for 24 hours after racing, there is no evidence that heart attacks occur "in the course of nearly every marathon." Marathon runners everywhere have stopped clutching their chests.
